Principal Designer Services
Under the Building Safety Act 2023 we offer Principal Designer for Building Regulations services to meet the requirements of this legal role.
All designers must plan, manage, monitor and co-ordinate matters related to the design work.
- take reasonable steps to make sure all designers comply with their duties under building regulations
- assess design work to make sure all designers produce designs that comply with relevant building regulations
Part of the Act is to ensure all parties involved have suitable competency to undertake the role they are doing, to evidence this John has undergone the CIAT professional Assessment Process and is on the CIAT register of Principal Designers and this also includes for High Risk Buildings (HRBs) above 18m
John also is part of the CIAT Assessment Panel, assessing and mentoring others through the process and providing information about the role.

Our in-house M&E expertise means that we can help to optimise building efficiencies as part of the overall design process. Our team has provided specialist M&E consultancy to a range of sectors including, education, health and care, social housing and hospitality.
