At Cityzen, we design buildings that can actually be delivered.
We are a technical and compliance-led architectural practice working on complex residential, commercial and higher-risk projects across the South East. Our role often sits between design ambition, regulatory compliance and the realities of construction; turning ideas into coordinated, buildable information that contractors, consultants and clients can rely on.
We are not a production-line studio.
We are a small, experienced team where people are trusted to think, contribute and take ownership. The work is hands-on, collaborative and technically demanding. You will be involved in real problem solving, real coordination and real decision making from early design through to delivery on site.
Many practices separate design from technical delivery. We believe the best outcomes happen when the people designing buildings understand how they go together in the real world.
That means:
- working closely with contractors and consultants
- understanding risk and compliance
- producing information that is coordinated and buildable
- taking responsibility for outcomes, not just drawings
We work on projects typically ranging from £1m to £20m+, including complex refurbishments, comercial schemes including schools, youth clubs, health & welbeing ,residential schemes and buildings that are HRBs
